Thank you for visiting San Diego Zoo Global’s blog section. We welcome comments sent to our blog posts. Please review our comment policy if you are new to the site.

Comment monitoring

Comments sent to our blog posts are monitored. Any comment promoting a commercial product or another website will be removed or edited. Comments focusing on other zoos and facilities may also be edited or deleted. We reserve the right to edit or delete your comment if it contains material not pertinent to the blog topic or to San Diego Zoo Global. Wildlife education is important to us, and we will not allow comments that are inaccurate or speculate about policies or procedures at other zoos and wildlife parks.

Comments that provide links to social media sites, such as YouTube or Facebook, are allowed but will need approval by the comment monitor before they are posted. We do not allow links to blog sites or websites not affiliated with San Diego Zoo Global.

Do not submit copyrighted or other proprietary material, including research papers, documents, or pieces thereof, in any form unless you clearly indicate that you have permission from the author and facility to do so. This includes text from other websites and blogs, even if you state where you got the information. Your comments should be your own!

Comment etiquette

Our blog posts are written for a family audience, so we expect good manners from those that post comments. Disagreements with San Diego Zoo Global or others who have commented are fine, but rudeness or abusive language is not allowed. Comments that are derogatory or critical of other zoos are discouraged; San Diego Zoo Global is a member of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums and is supportive of the zoological community. Please be courteous to your fellow readers, as we value you all!
