Meet Noah!

Zoo InternQuest is a seven-week career exploration program for San Diego County high school juniors and seniors. Students have the unique opportunity to meet professionals working for the San Diego Zoo, Safari Park, and Institute for Conservation Research, learn about their jobs, and then blog about their experience online. Follow their adventures here on the Zoo’s website!

Adventures, adrenaline, and animals. Hello! My name is Noah and I’m a senior in high school. Those three words, adventure adrenaline, and animals, are the three things I enjoy most in life.

Adventure: I’m always down for an exciting adventure with my friends or family. Whether it be camping in the woods, going on a hike (and getting lost), or exploring the Zoo.

Adrenaline: Doing fun and dangerous things is one of my favorite pastimes. I love the adrenaline rush that comes when I’m racing someone to get to the soccer ball first, pushing through the pain to finish a rock climbing route, or doing something new and exciting like skydiving or InternQuest.

Animals: The San Diego Zoo and Safari Park have been an important part of my life since a very young age. Starting from a very young age, my parents took me to the Zoo often, which began to grow my love and appreciation for wildlife. I’ve always loved animals and am excited to educate the public about how to keep these wonderful creatures around.

I am so happy I have the privilege to be a part of this program since it combines my three favorite things. I can’t wait to start this new adventure and share what I learn with you all about animals and conservation. In the future, I hope to work at the San Diego Zoo and work side-by-side with people who share similar interests.
